4-6 Short Street Repair Works

Overview

Cambridge City Council is seeking a contractor for a package of internal and external repairs to the existing building, including masonry and brickwork repairs, roofing, joinery and timber repairs, drainage, ventilation, decorations and associated remedial works, together with specialist basement waterproofing works. The basement waterproofing element includes Contractor design and is required to achieve the specified BS 8102:2022 Grade 3 performance requirements. The premises will remain occupied throughout the works. The Contractor is required to plan, manage and provide the works accordingly and to make appropriate provision for the continued occupation of the premises during the works. The property is used as assisted living accommodation and the Contractor must take this into account when planning and providing the works. The property is subject to Listed Building Consent and the works are to be provided in accordance with the Scope and the requirements of the contract, including the approved listed building proposals. Relevant asbestos information forms part of the tender information and must be taken into account in planning and providing the works. The asbestos survey identifies known asbestos-containing materials and areas which were inaccessible at the time of survey and require further inspection before disturbance.
