A driver timesheet records when a driver worked and the total hours entered for each date. Couriers, hauliers, delivery businesses and fleet operators use timesheets to support payroll, customer billing and internal planning. Each row should identify the driver, date, start time, end time, total hours and any note needed to explain waiting time, a changed duty or another exception.
Complete the record promptly and use the organisation's agreed method for breaks, overnight work and rounded time. Check that the total is consistent with the start and finish entries before approving it. Common mistakes include treating a timesheet as a tachograph record, omitting unpaid breaks, combining several dates into one row and changing entries without a clear correction. Keep any legally required driving, working-time or tachograph records through the proper systems. This template is a simple administrative timesheet and can be downloaded for editing. It does not monitor a vehicle, analyse driving hours, establish pay entitlement or confirm compliance with transport or employment rules.
